    DESCRIPTION:
    This auction is for an adorable 15" tall composition & cloth Kewpie type Googly Eyed Black Clown Doll, 1930s+. Reference shows similar dolls made by Averill Mfg and other firms. Doll has a composition head with googly side glancing eyes and smiling mouth, has painted molded black wavy hair, the cloth clown costume is the dolls body. If he/she has had any touch up they did a great job, I do not know the history of this doll. Has mitten style hands and shoes are also part of the body. Well cared for over the years with the exception of lace around the neckline having a few rips. This doll would be a "Treasure" for collection or display and surly put a Smile on your face!
