Almost Antique AM American Co baby doll Honey Child 1926?

Vintage almost antique AM Doll Co doll. I was told AM is short for American doll but I am not an expert. The doll is in used condition. The doll and paint have wear, and some damage. Please look at the pictures. The doll is approximately 16" tall. A cloth type body not sure what it is stuffed with. The hands have some damage and not sure what the arms are made of and they are attached two different ways so one has probably been re attached at some point. The chest area says Honey child on the back it says what looks like 1926 or maybe 1G26. AM DOLL CO. Inside the lower back is something that feels round and metal maybe a voice box of some type? I have described the baby doll as best as I can but please feel free to ask any question or for more pictures.
