    Description

    This is a 10.5" antique composition and cloth folk doll from the German doll maker Ernst Wehncke. She has a composition face with blue glass sleep eyes. Eyes are missing some color when in the sleeping position, so they don't look like they are completely closed. Her hair is blonde and very soft, but she has been wearing a bonnet for decades and it is pulled back from her head at the top, exposing the lip of her open head, and the glue remnants are very visible. She is pin jointed at the shoulders and hips, has cloth hands with finger detail sewn in, and appears to be wearing her original outfit minus shoes, and it definitely shows dirt.  I do not want to remove her clothing, as I am afraid I will damage it. Her bonnet has small holes in it you only see when you take it off her head- looks like little insect bites. Her legs have some stains. She is marked WW on the back of her neck. She has a #/0 above the WW mark, and I think the # is a 3, but I am not entirely certain.
