    Antique Communion Host Wafer PYX Box Catholic Priest Engraved
    This is a lovely PYX box from the late 1800's / early 1900's.  This PYX box has a wonderful engraved cross on the outside and shows years of service on the outside but still has a beautiful gold wash on the inside.  PYX boxes were often handed down to younger priests and often used for generations by priests in the same Catholic church.  I found in a small farmtown estate sale in Southern Illinois.
    Measures about 1 1/2" wide, 2 1/2" long with top ring
