Cute antique c1910, Horsman compo. DOLLY DINGLE Campbell Kid, Drayton doll

Celebrating the American
history of dolls....
Darling and well preserved,
early, circa 1910,
original Horsman
manufactured, black composition and cloth,
"Campbell Kid"
girl doll
with no restorations and all original, clothing. She stands, 11" tall, with a cold cast composition, flange-neck head, big
side-glancing eyes
, with heart shaped pupils, eyebrows, cute pug nose, smiling mouth and molded,
black bobbed hair with bangs and
molded loop
for hair ribbon.
Licensed by Campbell in 1910
(marked under the cloth in back neck) she was designed after the popular
advertising illustrations of artist, Grace Drayton.
She has a cloth covered, ground cork-stuffed, chubby body with joints at her shoulders and hips, brown
composition lower arms and hands (paint chipped)
and cloth shaped feet. She wears a
darling, burgundy cotton dress with long sleeves and lace trim over antique cotton petticoat and bloomers and
has no damages or repairs, no repaint and is in very good condition with no stains, holes, chips or cracks, and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. Her antique dress is faded in the front.  (loc 52) These
early black character dolls
are getting extremely hard to find. Other Horsman dolls and animals, also shown, are
not included
and each is
listed separately.
