Up for bid is a beautiful
vintage hand blown glass Red
ELEPHANT
,
made by the renown glass company in
Lauscha, Germany
[formerly East Germany]  I personally purchased it on December 10, 1997 at the Glass factory in Lauscha, Germany, a few years after the Berlin Wall came down.  I still remember all of the beautiful hand blown glass items they had in its factory show room, and I bought several items, including this red elephant, which quickly caught my attention.  It is as beautiful today, as the day I purchased it.  It stands about 4 inches tall to the tip of its trunk.  It is about 4" long.  It is entirely red, except for its two tusks, which are a pearl white.
It is a lucky elephant because its tusk is held high and the Chinese' feng shui" find red a lucky color
.  While it is entirely red, being made of glass, light does pass through the elephant, giving it a glossy brilliance.  The
condition is excellent
with no cracks, bubbles or damage and no repairs have been done.  It has been kept on a shelf in my smoke free home. It did not come with a box.  I am "down sizing", since my retirement, and this red Elephant is anxious for adventure and new scenery.  It will look great where ever you set it and it does not take much space.  And, when you bid on this Elephant, you will be getting a quality vintage Elephant.  Thank you for considering bidding on this beautiful elephant and I wish you good luck and good health!
