    "Hunting Horn" Insignia
    This is original piece, that was placed on paper for sales in the 1950's.
    Paper shows stains from age.
    It reads -
    "Collector's Item
    Genuine Civil War "Hunting Horn" Insignia
    In storage for 100 years, this authentic solid-brass
    Civil War insignia bufs up to a brilliant polish. Originally worn on the traditional U.S. CivilWar Forage Cap, the horn, is now owrn on the left side of present-day sports caps. The old fashioned prong arrangement (you attachto cap simply by pushing prongs through the material and foldin on the inside, much like a cotter pin) hold the emblem tightly against the material  - unlike pin ons which usually hang loosely and look separate from the material.
    Pin is brass and has prongs on back to place on hat,
    this piece is missing one prong. Pin measures 2 1/4 inches across.
