RARE CAMBRIDGE GLASS CAPRICE CRYSTAL # 300 BLOWN FINGER BOWL & UNDERPLATE SET
This is a rare set (2 pieces) of Cambridge Caprice made in Crystal or clear colored glass.
This set was made by the Cambridge Glass Company, formerly of Cambridge, Ohio and is part of their Caprice pattern line.
These are rare and gorgeous pieces of high quality hand-made and American made blown (the fingerbowl) and pressed (the underplate) elegant glass.
It has been in my personal collection since the 1980s.
Specifically, this is the Cambridge Glass Caprice Pattern # 300 Finger Bowl and under plate with seat.
This set is pictured on Page 141 of the book

edited by Mark Nye for the National Cambridge Collectors Inc.
According to this book this set was produced by Cambridge Glass during the period from 1936 to 1945 and indicates that this set was produced in the colors of Moonlight Blue, Larosa Pink, Pistachio Green, Mocha (Light Amber) and Crystal.
As would be expected, both the rim of the blown fingerbowl and the foot of the pressed under plate have been factory ground and polished.
The underplate for this set would have been made from the same mold as the saucer for the # 17 Caprice cup and saucer.
I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability.
Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color.

Age and Condition
The set dates to circa 1940.
It is in perfect original condition.
Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item.
There are no chips, flea bites, cracks, hairlines or repairs.
For the sake of 100% accuracy I will mention a very minor factory blemish, mold mark or tool mark to the base of the fingerbowl – see the last photo at about the center to left center area. There are only a few very light signs of wear consistent with pieces of glass of this age.
Please keep in mind the photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is.
Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece.
It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo.
Approximate Dimensions
The fingerbowl is about 4.375” (11.1 cm) in diameter and sits about 2.625” (6.7 cm) off the table.
The under plate is about 5.5” (14 cm) in diameter.
The set sits about 2.875” (7.3 cm) off the table.
Approximate Weight
About 10.625 ounces (309 grams) for the set.

Shipment will be via the USPS.
I estimate shipping costs at the time of listing and any difference between my estimated cost and actual will be refunded back to you through PayPal after the sale is completed.
On smaller items that weigh 12 ounces or less including the shipping container I will offer you the less expensive First Class option.
On heavier items I will also offer a less expensive option, if available.
A delivery confirmation (provides electronic tracking of the shipment) is included with all domestic shipments paid for through PayPal.

If you purchase more than one item I will do my best to combine shipping costs to save you as much as possible.
If you want your package insured, you must let me know in advance of payment.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS
The only form of payment I accept from international buyers is Pay Pal.
No exceptions!
International shipments will encounter longer shipping times due to distance and Customs requirements.
The USPS says 6-10 business days, but it can take longer.
International buyers are responsible for all customs fees, duties, import taxes or other related customs or import charges and all our out of pocket costs incurred in the shipment of packages internationally.
International shipment options will be via USPS First Class Mail (when the item being shipped meets the requirements of that service) or Priority Mail when it does not.
DO NOT ask us to show a lesser value on the Customs Forms than the item sold for, or to ship the item purchased item as a gift.
